I have a 10 gal tank with 1 male platty and 2 females. They also have some fern moss in there. I put them in there today after the tank cycled and everything. How long do I have to wait before I see some fry? Im excited! :)
How long before Platty's breed and have fry?
it won't take long and then you will be full of baby platys. you might want to get a lot more plants that they babys can hide out in and some fry food while you are waiting for the big day that you will be a grandma.
Reply:They'll be producing fry every 4 weeks, but they'll all get eaten unless they have enough hiding places.
