How to keep houseplants watered while away for 2 weeks?

I can probably save the smaller ones, but I have 2 large australian tree ferns with pothos vines in large pots. They each easily drink a quart or so of water every 1-2 days. I'd just hate to lose them. Any suggestions?

Put them in the bathtub and add 3-4 inches of water. If the pots don't float, keep adding. That should keep them going.
Reply:Got a friend or a neighbor you can trust?
Reply:Head to your local nursery or garden supply store. There are watering tubes you can buy to set on top of the soil and you will cut a small slit in the hull and it will time release moisture to your plants and trees.
