Are ferns and mosses good to have?

Is it wise to buy a house on land with ferns and mossy areas?? why/why not??

Are ferns and mosses good to have?
Ferns and mosses are lovely to look at.. but they can inicate a significant amount of moisture in the area where they are located.

Get a good home inspection before committing.
Reply:Let us apply common sense to this situation for you. The lack of sunlight allows the growth of most ferns. The excess of both moisture, combined with the lack of sunlight, allows the moss to grow. Herein you have a situation which has little light, poor soils, and the ineveitable mold in both home and garden.

Dream the dream for yourself and your husband. Make that dream a reality. The reality of this home is disaster and monies upon monies that neither of you can afford and pay. Good Luck and God Bless.
Reply:Check to make sure that moisture isn't a problem. but you can use the ferms to create some lovely shade gardens
Reply:there ok if you have rocky soil then the ferns and moss break it down
Reply:ferns look great when they grow. Im not sure about the moss unless it is on rockery stones or something like that. If it is on a path it needs to be got rid of, as when it gets wet it is very slippery
