Sounds odd coming from TheFLowerLady, but can a LeatherLeaf Fern grow well indoors?

I bought a sickly one on clearance ($2) and now it is huge and healthy on my front porch, in it's original 1-gallon plastic pot. Problem is, we get gale-force winds (50mph+ on a GOOD day) and they are unbelievably dry. We're scheduled for them to start this afternoon/evening. I want to bring my fern in so it doesn't dry out or blow away but need to know what it will need to remain healthy indoors. Thanx.

It will need to be in an area that gets light. Also spritz with water at least once a week with tepid water.Don't let it dry out. Also don't let leaves touch furniture etc.If you can buy a fern stand.
