Where does the red fern grow?

On the graves of the truly brave.

Where does the red fern grow?
Not sure how this relates to R%26amp;S, but most ferns we have here are red when they start growing and they turn green later.

On the North side of peoples houses?
Reply:In the Cookson Hills ; Taliaquah; It is Where the Red Hounds, sing Mountain Music,nothing like it;

These Hills are actually Mountains;

Reply:I had a teacher who read that to the class when I was in middle school. I don't remember the story well though.

Reply:On the graves of those who are truly brave. At least according to the book. I've never seen a red fern so I really don't know. An excellent book though. I didn't really like the movie.
