What is my name in navaho "Fern" and what does it mean if anything?

I would like to know if there is a specific meaning for my name?

What is my name in navaho "Fern" and what does it mean if anything?
fernanda is spanish, not navajo. Navajo is not a written language and I am sure it would be necessary to speak to someone that was fluent in the language to tell you what it means.

there is a dictionary written by the catholic priests of earlier times which is a help in translating some words, but in no way could you learn to speak from it. Born in New Mexico and raised in Nakibitoh, N.M. on the reservation.as was my father. His father and cousins were all traders in Az. and NM since the late 1800's
Reply:In New England you would be able to use the handle "fiddlehead" which is a fern that grows early in the spring near the river, after water levels have dropped. It is delicious and folks pay 3 to 4 dollars a lb for them. Drop them in boiling water, cook for ten minutes....add butter salt and pepper, most people use vinegar...heh-heh, and theres a meal by itself. Freeze them and enjoy them year round....a true delicacy of the northeast...YUMMMM !
