Hi, I am a male and belive it or not, I cried at the end of Wilson Rawls wonderful classic "Where the Red Fern Grows", We read it in Reading Class, and at the end, with the Mountain Lion slicing up Old Dan, and killing him. WHO WAS CRYING LIKE A BABY??? The whole class practically cried, including the teacher, sobbing. Little Ann, the nicest soul, stayed by him until he died. Wasn't It sooooo sad? Even the Red Fern story at the end. Who would read it again? Isnt it mysterious Little Ann died after old Dan on his grave? =((((((((( sob.

Yea my class is reading it too but we're on chapter 3 or 4.
I hope i don't cry in the ending of the story XD
