Help with Tree Fern please?

I have had this Tree Fern for 4 years now and had a good show of fronds - 15 last year - 9 at tthe moment. It is about the width of a dinner plate and 34" tall, in late Autumn I cover the fronds with fleece and cut them off in the Spring.

My problem is that the trunk is starting to "dome" as opposed to a flat surface, consequently the area where the new fronds appear from is now only about 3" across.

My question is - Can I SAW the trunk straight and if so when?

Sorry about the long-windedress

Help with Tree Fern please?
Definatly Leave it how it is, it is the natural process.. Feed the plant with bananna skins and it will grow fast and stronger..
Reply:I would just let it grow! Mix 1 table spoon of epsom salt into 1 gallon of water and water it with that!
Reply:My tree ferns have "domes" on the trunks but it hasn't affected them as they have grown taller. I thought it was just part of the natural look for these plants.
