Fertilization in a fern?

how does it happen?

Fertilization in a fern?
Something simple, you can understand. Ferns reproduce by spores. More specific information about spores and pictures of ferns with spores on them are on the link.
Reply:I found this great site that will tell you everything you need to know http://users.rcn.com/jkimball.ma.ultrane...

But generally ferns reproduce by gametophytes which become fertilized when they find the right conditions I.E. moisture and such because they need water for fertilization; one sperm fuses with the egg in an archegonium forming a zygote, which is the first Cell of the sporophyte.

I don't remember exactly what happens.
