water

"Rain induces swelling in the antheridia, causing them to burst and release multiflagellated sperm that are transported via water droplets to the egg. Fertilization results in a diploid zygote that matures into an adult sporophyte consisting of a rosette of leafy fronds"
Reply:Ferns need the water, wind, human, etc.for pollination the stamen(male part of the flower)have pollen grain, the pollen grain will go to th stigma with the help of wind

Self pollination is transfering of pollen grain w/the desame plant and Cross pollination isa the transfer of pollen grain to stigma with other plant
