why is it nessacary for billy to hunt at night? how does his mom react to this?
i tried reading the book chapter 5-8 and i cant find the answer could someone please help me

thats because that's when the coons come out. They are night creatures, also known as racoons.im not really sure if that's in the book or not. his mom tells him to be careful but doesnt really worry because the hounds are with him. hope this helps and i hope this matches with what ur thinking. if not, just ignore this because itz been years since i read this! hope this helps :)
