What would be the best hanging plants suited for my patio in Northern California?

I want plants that grow long tendrils like Boston fern but Boston fern cannot handle the cool winters, 40's , sometimes below. Where I want to hang them faces north and gets very little direct sunlight.

Reply:Most tropcial plants can't handle the winter temperature in the low 40's. So if you want your Boston fern you might consider bring it in doors during the winter time.
