What kind of Hanging plants can I put out on my porch that has limited sunlight exposure?

I am looking for 2 hanging plants to put out on my balcony at my apartment. I want ones that have easy upkeep and are pretty. I heard that impatients might be the way to go. Will that attrect many bees?

Also- I will be needing some indoor plants as well, I hear that ferns are hard to manage... I want something that will be pretty and full, and easy to manage as well. And I also have a small puppy that may eat some of the leaves if she sneaks off and gets a chance if they fall off of the plant from the shelf, so please suggest something that is not toxic to pups!

The Wandering Jew is often used as a hanging plant, and will develop long drooping vines even though the plant itself only grows to a few inches in height.

It does best in a cool spot, but not direct sunlight, and will adjust to normal room temperatures.

It must NOT be watered too freely in winter. However it can be grown in water if you add liquid ferterlizer from time to time.

Otherwise this plant is a strong grower and will live a long time. You can take cuttings to grow more rooting plants quickly. This plant is one of the easiest of hanging plants, and can be grown both indoors or out.

Spider Plant is attractive in a hanging basket. They bloom through most of summer with small, white, scentless flowers. It is a decorative plant with long hanging foilage and flower stems.

This plant can also be divided to propagate new plants. It is a very easy and tolerant plant. It is an ideal plant for beginners since it can survive for several days without water and can grow in either light or shade with varied temperatures.

I personally have both types of plants and can agree that either or both plants should be highly considered among your other options.

Reply:Dracena, Shefflera, and Rubber Tree plant are all good indoor houseplants that are non toxic.
