Oh, I love Where the Red Fern Grows! When I read it for the first time I cried like a baby! It is so sad, but the ending is perfect.

we listened to it in class becuas our teacher couldnt read it but she wanted us to listen to it.So she started the tape and it was so sad i couldnt concentrate. but it was amazing how everything fits together Report It

Reply:I read it in 5th grade for a school assignent. I cried and cried over the ending.
Reply:I read that years ago, and I really only remember crying a lot at the end. It was a really sad/sweet book.

Reply:That was one of my favorite books growing up. I cried like a little girl at the end (oh, wait, I was a little girl!). But it is such a beautiful book, and the ending was so artfully crafted and poetic.
