Hi, i have a Boston Fern, which i've noticed just lately is covered in these black flys, well i think there flys, they've attached them selfs to quite a few of the leaves. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this problem. Thanx in advance :)

Might not be flies, ferns have their spores/seed on the reverse side of the leaf, look like little black dots

Reply:If they are on the underside of the leaves, they are probably spores which are natural.
If they are on the top side and on the stems and axis, it may be scale. You need to get rid of that with a good miticide.
