Rooting fern? Fern plant?
You can divide any fern as long as it is root bound,You can root the side shoots or just buy one large fern and divide it.Really easy to grow and there are so many varities, maden hair and whitman's lace, boston fern grow fast and can be divided.
Reply:You should probably buy one. Ferns can be transplanted but I don't think you can root them. they reproduce from spores, not seeds or cuttings that I know of.

Buy ones that you like the looks of. There are many kinds.
Reply:I used to have old ones that lasted a long time and I took the babies that grow off sprouts and just put them in soil and they rooted just fine....GOOD LUCK!
Reply:You could buy a really big fern and divide it. That means taking it out of the container and cutting it into 2 or 3 plants and then repotting them.

Not all ferns are alike. Do a little research on the net about it.
