What does a fern have that apple trees dont?

a fern has spores while an apple tree has seeds....the ways they reproduce. Look on the back of a fern and you will know what I am talking about. Cut open an apple and you will see the seeds.

Reply:fern's reproduce from spores rather than seeds. Also unlike the gymnosperms and angiosperms, in ferns the gametophyte is a free-living organism.
