Fern((indoor plant)) ((or it might be spelt "furn"))?
The first thing is: WHAT kind of FERN do you have?? Some will grow faster than others, some may want to be outdoors! Some will get huge (Tree ferns) and others will stay small. Some need more sunlight than others!

The basics are: water, light and food (fertilizer).

Ferns generally like to stay moist, but not soaking wet. Some like to have their leaves sprinkled. I often put my ferns in the shower on a light spray for a few minutes. Then I leave them in the shower to drain for the rest of the day. They love the humidity in the shower!

Light varies widely by type of fern (you need to do some more research!).

For fertilizer, most ferns like a light (diluted) water soluble food. You could put this into the water for the plant. Don't use too much or you will "burn" the plant.

Indoor ferns that get their needs met can live for a long, long time!

Good Luck!!
Reply:Same as REnate, except:

Let the soil get dry before you water again.

Also, you can water with a liquid fertilizer every time you water. Or apply a time released fertilizer to your fern's soil.
Reply:Once a week be sure the potting soil dries out after you water it. Fertilize once a month

Reply:Hi, I soak my in the tub or a bucket about every two weeks. Leave it in a couple of hours till it soaks up as much water as it needs. Then let it drain, and return it to it's spot. I use Thrive brand fertilizer, and worm castings.
