Get a plastic statue of an owl, most birds are afraid of owls because they will get eaten by them, you should be able to find one at a garden center.

Why can't you enjoy the bird and the fern. We are ALL CONNECTED. They are eating little bugs that want to invade your plant. Or build their nests. What do you have against the birds. It is always something.
