Who is the real birth mother of Freeda Fern Calhoon from Kearney, Nebraska?
How would you like your full name and location splayed out across the internet?
It's a horrible invasion of their privacy and against Yahoo posting rules.

In the red fern grows, how does billy catch his first coon?
~*KIMMIE*~....
Check in chapters 7 or 8. Billy's grandfather teaches him to make a trap into which he places a bright shiny object and some nails at an angle. For several days it doesn't work, no coon, but when the human scent finally wears off, he catches one! (the coon reaches in for the shiny object and when he tries to hold the object AND lift his paw out, it is caught on the nails.)
hope that helps!!! :-)
In the red fern grows, how does billy catch his first coon?
puts up trap, put scarecrow(as decoy as himself) waits until the coon comes out, and trap snatches it, and dogs go get it(if he bought them yet)
Reply:I don't know but that book is a classic... someone will know the right answer (like the kid that sits next to you)

Reply:He digs holes in the sand along the beach and puts nails in them with aluminum foil at the bottom so the racoon will grab the foil but won't be able to pull its fist out because it is bigger than his hand.
Reply:Read the book and find out - you won't be sorry; great story.

Only 12? I haven't read that book in about, oh - 15 years. I could hack something together - but it wouldn't be good. You should try to do this yourself.

"Ferns have existed for thousands of years.which special characteristics that help them survive?"
"Mosses are one of the first land plants.Which adaptations allowed them to live outside water?"?
Similar to the first answer, mosses do not live out of water, they only thrive in moist, shady conditions. If this conditions change, the moss dies eventually.
Ferns again, one of the first real plants, and very simple in their make up. They spread by spores, not seeds which may add to their prevalence.
Reply:hindi ko alam caithline. haha.
Reply:Well, even if I don't know much, I'll try to contribute a little bit.
Maybe it's because not only do moss have to
live in moist places, but also in shady places.
