There are three major plant cell types: parenchyma cells, collenchyma cells, and sclerenchyma cells. Are certain ones specific to certain categories? HELP!
Anyone know which types of plant cells are found in each plant category (monocot,conifer,fern,moss,dic...
Parenchyma are universal in plant kingdom.
Collechyma are found most ly in dicots ( but not in the roots )
Sclerenchyma are also universal except mosses .
Xylem tracheids are only in gymnosperms and and ferns
Like wise sieve cells are also restricted to those two types .
Xylem vessels are found in dicot and monocot ( Angiosperms only ) .
Likewise sieve tubes and companion cells are in Angiosperms only .
Reply:what do you mean by universal, that it is located everywhere, or just in all plants? Report It
